Privacy Policy — Opus Counter

Plat4m Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Opus Counter customer-facing display application (the "App"). Opus Counter is a free companion app for the Opus POS system that displays order information, totals, and promotional content on a tablet at the point of sale. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects and how it is used.

1. Information We Collect

The App collects only the following device-level information:

Device ID — The Android ID of the device, used solely to pair the display with an Opus POS store.
Device Model — The manufacturer and model name, sent during pairing to help store operators identify their displays.

The App does not collect personal information, location data, contacts, photos, camera input, microphone input, or any other sensitive data. No customer or end-user data is collected by the App.

2. How We Use the Data

The device ID and device model are transmitted to Plat4m Inc. servers exclusively to:

Pair the display device with a specific Opus POS store
Authenticate subsequent content-sync and heartbeat requests
Allow store operators to manage their paired display devices

3. Third-Party Services

The App communicates with Plat4m Inc. cloud servers over HTTPS for device pairing and content synchronization. It also connects to a local Opus POS terminal over the store's private network to receive real-time order data.

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or share device data with third parties. Data is only accessible to:

The store operator who paired the device
Plat4m Inc. for service operation and support

5. Data Retention

Device pairing data is retained as long as the device remains paired with a store. Store operators can unpair a device at any time from the Opus POS management portal, which removes the stored device ID from our servers.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect device data:

All communication with Plat4minc servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
Token-based device authentication for all API requests
Local POS communication occurs over the store's private network

7. Children's Privacy

The App is a business tool intended for use by store operators. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
